UNC-Chapel Hill prides itself on being the nation’s oldest public university. However, with that age comes the burden of old buildings. Many of Carolina’s oldest buildings lack accessibility for people with disabilities. While the university says it’s working to update some of the buildings, students say improvements aren’t happening quickly enough.
UNC track and field athlete Jill Shippee went from being one of the top throwers in the NCAA to dead last. During the first round of the NCAA, Shippee fouled out and was disqualified.
